Case Study

Fill tubes with with the exact same amount
of catalyst at the exact same rate.

There are a couple of different types of reactors throughout the refining and petrochemical industries. Some of those reactors are filled with a catalyst that goes down into a series of tubes, so that they can be cooled using oil, salt, or other products as the process is happening. Whenever these tubes are filled up with catalysts, each tube needs to be filled with the exact same amount of catalyst at the exact same rate so that in essence you wind up with 25,000 small reactions happening simultaneously.

John Kinder, Director of Quality and Technical Services at JV Industrial Catalyst, hired The Blodgett Company to develop a machine that performed this task with very precise accuracy.

“The service, quality and everything that we get out of Blodgett is second to none. I could not be prouder to work with those guys and call them partners in our endeavors.â€
